2 for £20 short fills FAQs
What is a short fill e-liquid?
A short fill is a bottle of e-liquid which contains more than 10 ml of e-liquid, and by law it cannot contain nicotine at the point of sale. The bottles are not filled all the way to the top to leave room for the user to add nicotine if needed.
Short fill e-liquids have a nicotine free formula, but there is room in the bottle to add nicotine shots, which are sold in 10 ml bottles with an 18 mg/ml nicotine strength, enough to create a 3 mg/ml e-liquid overall. In a 50 ml one nicotine shot is needed to create a 3 mg/ml, whereas in a 100 ml short fill two nicotine shots are needed.
Do short fill e-liquids contain nicotine?
In the UK bottles of e-liquid containing more than 10 ml cannot contain nicotine, and so short fills are sold with a nicotine free formula.
Once purchased, the user can choose to add nicotine shots to the short fill if they require a nicotine content, but they can also be used as they come for a nicotine free vape if preferred.
Do I have to add nicotine to my short fill?
Whether you add nicotine to your short fill is entirely a personal choice. Short fills are sold with a nicotine free formula and can be used straight away if you prefer not to use nicotine. However, you can also add nicotine shots to the short fill if you prefer an e-liquid with an e-liquid with a nicotine content.
Short fill e-liquids have room remaining in the bottle to accommodate the addition of nicotine shots, enough room is left to create a 3 mg/ml overall e-liquid.
Short fills leave it entirely up to the user as to whether they add nicotine or use the e-liquid without nicotine.
What is a high VG e-liquid?
High VG e-liquids contain a higher ratio of VG to PG, giving them a thick consistency.
VG (vegetable glycerine) and PG (propylene glycol) are the two base ingredients in e-liquids, used as diluents to carry the flavourings and nicotine, if included, and create a consistency for vaping.
VG has a thick, syrupy consistency, whereas PG has a waterier consistency. The high ratio of VG makes for thicker e-liquids that are best suited to advanced and sub-ohm devices as the large coils within these devices can easily absorb the e-liquid without drying out.
