About vape kits & e-liquids

Different vape kits are best used with different e-liquids depending on the type of device you have chosen. Using the right ratio e-liquid helps ensure that your coil will last as long as possible and you will have the best vaping experience.

Starter kits and pod systems have small coils which need a thin e-liquid like a 50/50 or high PG formula that can be easily absorbed to ensure that the coil remains well saturated and does not dry out.

Sub-ohm and advanced vape kits on the other hand have larger coils which can absorb e-liquid quickly, so they are best paired with a high VG e-liquid that has a thicker consistency and will stop the coil from absorbing the e-liquid too quickly.

How do I know which e-liquid to use?

Which e-liquid you should use depends mostly on which vape kit you are using. If your device is a starter kit or pod system it is likely best paired with a 50/50 or high VG e-liquid. Whereas, sub-ohm and advanced vape kits work best with high VG e-liquids.

All of our vape kits with free e-liquid come with an e-liquid of the right formula for that device. If you need advice on which e-liquid you should use with your chosen vape kit, reach out to our Customer Service team or pop into your local Evapo store.

Which nicotine strength should I use?

Which nicotine strength will best suit your needs is dictated primarily by your previous smoking habits. As a general starting point we suggest the following;

0 – 5 cigarettes a day – nicotine-free or 3 mg/ml

5 – 10 cigarettes a day – 6 mg/ml

10 – 20 cigarettes a day – 10 mg/ml or 12 mg/ml

20+ cigarettes a day – 18 mg/ml or 20 mg/ml

You can then amend the strength up or down as needed.

What are VG and PG?

VG and PG stand for vegetable glycerine and propylene glycol, and are the two base ingredients in e-liquids. They are mixed with flavour concentrates and sometimes nicotine in order to create an e-liquid with a formula that can be safely vaped, and different e-liquids may have different ratios of VG and PG.

PG has a thin, watery consistency, while VG has a thicker, more syrupy consistency. Therefore, different ratios of VG and PG are used in e-liquids to create e-liquids with a thinner or thicker consistency depending on which device it should be used with.

Which e-liquid comes free with these vape kits?

The e-liquid which comes free with these vape kits will be one of the correct VG/PG ratio to suit that particular kit.

While the brand of e-liquid included in the deal is predetermined, you will be able to choose the flavours and nicotine strength (if applicable) when adding the device to your basket.
