New vape kits FAQ

How do I choose a new vape kit?

Whether you are looking for your first vape kit, or upgrading to a new one, you need to consider what you want to get out of your vape.

If you want a small and discreet device that feels similar to smoking a cigarette, a starter kit or pod system would be a great place to start.

If you are looking for a straight-forward device which needs minimal maintenance and is ready whenever you need it, prefilled pod kits could be just what you are looking for.

If you want to upgrade to something more powerful, or with more features that allow you personalise your vaping experience, a sub-ohm kit with adjustable airflow, variable wattage, and different coil options can give you many options.

Identify your needs and look at different devices to find the one that best matches your preferences.

If you need help choosing a new vape kit pop in to your local Evapo vape shop or reach out to our customer service team.

What is a vape kit?

Vape kits were designed to be an alternative to smoking. The battery sends power to the coil, which heats up and vaporises the e-liquid inside the tank or pod. This vapour can then be inhaled.

A vape kit is made up a battery, tank of pod, and coil or atomiser. Starter kits and pod systems have a simple design for a user-friendly option, with pre-set power outputs and airflow designs that replicate the feel of an e-cigarette. Whereas more advanced kits can offer the ability to change the power output and adjust the airflow for a looser or tighter draw as per the user’s preferences.

How does a vape kit work?

Vape kits work by vaporising e-liquids. They contain a battery which sends power to the coil or atomiser, a metal coil wrapped with cotton. This coil is housed inside the tank or pod, which also contains the e-liquids. E-liquid is absorbed by the cotton in the coil, and as the coil heats up it vaporises the e-liquid to produce a vapour which can be inhaled by the user.

E-liquids are specially designed to be used with vape kits and can be purchased with or without nicotine. The vapour is inhaled in the same way that smoke would be, therefore offering an alternative that feels familiar and comfortable to those who are looking to make a stop smoking attempt.

Do vape kits contain nicotine?

Vape kits themselves do not contain nicotine, however it is required by law that vaping products have a nicotine warning on them. The nicotine is contained in the e-liquids, but this is optional, and e-liquids can be purchased without nicotine if preferred.

Nicotine is not a cancer-causing substance, but it is the aspect of cigarettes that is addictive and what causes the unpleasant withdrawal when people make a stop smoking attempt. E-liquids can contain nicotine at different strengths to help users manage their nicotine cravings and avoid withdrawal, to help make the switch from smoking to vaping as smooth as possible.
