Is IQOS the same as vaping?
Although IQOS devices are a type of vaporizer, they are not the same as standard vape kits. Where vape kits are filled with an e-liquid which the coil inside heats to create a vapour, IQOS devices use heat-not-burn technology and tobacco sticks. The tobacco stick is inserted into the IQOS device which heats the tobacco stick from within to create a vapour which you can inhale through the filtered end of the tobacco stick. This offers an authentic tobacco flavour and similar experience to smoking, but without the need for combustion.
Similarly, while the IQOS tobacco sticks may look similar to traditional cigarettes, they are not the same and cannot be smoked. The tobacco within has a different formulation which makes it optomised for vaporisation, and they are designed only to be used with the compatible IQOS heat-not-burn device.
Is IQOS better than cigarettes?
Because IQOS heats the tobacco without the need for combustion, the tobacco sticks do not release all of the chemicals that cigarettes release when they are burnt.
This means that they offer an authentic tobacco flavour and an experience that is similar to smoking a cigarette, but with no smoke and less harmful chemicals.
Is IQOS good for quitting smoking?
If you want to cut down on the amount of cigarettes you smoke, or to completely stop smoking cigarettes altogether, IQOS can be a great alternative. As they still use tobacco they have an authentic flavour and offer a similar feel to smoking a cigarette, but they eliminate the need for combustion and reduce the amount of harmful chemicals that are released.
They also have less of a smell than cigarettes, and the vapour does not linger in the same way that smoke does. This means that you can eliminate some of the negative aspects of smoking, like the smell of smoke sticking in your hair and clothes.
What IQOS flavour is best?
This really depends on your personal preferences, as not everyone will like the same blend of tobacco or flavour. The HEETS and TEREA ranges include a number of different options, including a variety of tobacco blends, some menthol options, and even fruit flavoured blends.

Which tobacco sticks can I use with the IQOS ILUMA?
Both the IQOS ILUMA and ILUMA ONE are designed to be used exclusively with the TEREA range of tobacco sticks. This is because they feature a specific design as part of the IQOS SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM in order to heat the sticks internally.
We also sell the HEETS tobacco sticks, but these have been designed for previous IQOS devices and are not compatible with the ILUMA range.
