Consider your smoking habits
Your smoking preferences will dictate what kind of device and e-liquid combination will best suit you.
If your preference is for pre-rolled cigarettes, a device with an open airflow design would be ideal, such as the Aspire PockeX, Innokin Sceptre or UWELL Caliburn. The draw on these devices will feel similar to that of a pre-rolled cigarette.
If your preference is to roll your own cigarettes, you will likely prefer a device with a more constricted airflow design, such as the Innokin T20-S, Elf Bar Mate 500 or Innokin Endura T18 II. The tighter draw of these devices will feel similar to that of a hand rolled cigarette.
How many cigarettes you would normally smoke will help you find what nicotine strength would best satisfy your nicotine cravings.
Light smokers who only smoke a couple of cigarettes a day, social smokers and non-daily smokers would be best suited to a 3 mg/ml e-liquid, as this is the lowest strength.
Those who smoke between 5 – 10 cigarettes a day would likely find a 6 mg/ml e-liquid best suits their needs.
Moderate smokers, between 10 – 20 cigarettes a day, are recommended a 10 or 12 mg/ml e-liquid.
Heavy smokers, those who smoker 20+ a day, would be best to start off using a high strength e-liquid, an 18 or 20 mg/ml.
It is also important to identify whether you would like your e-liquid to feel smooth or whether you enjoy a bit of a ‘throat hit’. If you prefer a smooth inhale, nic salt based e-liquids would be preferable as they feel smooth even at high nicotine strengths, whereas if you prefer a bit of a throat hit, free base nicotine e-liquids would best suit you.
