What is a Ploom heat-not-burn device?
A heat-not-burn device, also known as a heated tobacco vape, is an electronic device that heats specially designed tobacco sticks to create a vapour, offering an alternative to smoking cigarettes.
The Ploom X Advanced is a popular heated tobacco kit which can be used with the range of EVO tobacco sticks, which are available in a variety of different tobacco blends. They offer an authentic tobacco flavour without the need for smoke.
How to use Ploom?
The Ploom X Advanced device is designed exclusively to be used with the EVO tobacco sticks. To use your Ploom kit slide open the cover at the top of the device and insert an EVO tobacco stick. Insert the tobacco end into the device so the filter end of the stick extends out of the device, ensure that the dotted line on the stick below the coloured line is still visable.
Hold down on the screen until you feel a vibration to activate the device, the light will pulse to let you know the device is on. After around 20 seconds the kit will vibrate once again to let you know that it has heated up and is ready to use. Each tobacco stick will last for around 5 minutes, and the kit will vibrate again to let you know when it has finished.
Do EVO tobacco sticks contain real tobacco?
Yes, EVO tobacco sticks are made using real tobacco, but it is not the same as the tobacco found in cigarettes. This is because the tobacco used in tobacco sticks have been formulated for vaporization, and so EVO tobacco sticks cannot be smoked like cigarettes.
Because they contain real tobacco they offer an authentic flavour and a user experience that is very similar to smoking, making a great option for those who want an alternative to smoking but are not quite ready to give up tobacco altogether.
Is Ploom the same as smoking?
No, the Ploom kit is a heat-not-burn device, so rather than burning the tobacco it heats it enough to create a vapour which can be inhaled. This allows users to continue using tobacco but without the need for combustion.
Because the EVO tobacco sticks which are used with the Ploom vape kit contain real tobacco, they offer an authentic flavour and a very similar feel to smoking, to help make the transition smoother.
