About shortfills
Shortfills are larger bottles of e-liquid which contain no nicotine but are filled short of the top of the bottle, leaving room to add nicotine shots (also known as nic shots) if desired. For example, a 60ml bottle will contain 50ml of 0mg e-liquid, adding one 10ml nicotine shot to this will produce 60ml of 3 mg/ml nicotine strength e-liquid.
We have a huge range of shortfills to choose from, including top picks from fan favourites like Ohm Brew, Double Brew, Seriously, STAX and many more. We also stock a range of different nic shot options, including freebase, nic salt, high VG, 50/50 or cool. Not sure which suit you? Ask our team which nic shot would best fit your needs or visit the Evapo blog to find out more.

Shortfills FAQ
What are shortfills?
Shortfills are bottles of e-liquid that contain more than 10ml of e-liquid. They are called this because they are filled short of the top of the bottle to accommodate the addition of nicotine shots if needed by the user.
As per UK law, bottles of e-liquid that are larger than 10ml cannot contain nicotine. This means that the user must add their own nicotine in the form of nicotine shots.
As an example, a 50ml shortfill will contain 50ml of nicotine free e-liquid in a 60ml bottle. This can be used as is, if the user does not need nicotine, but there is room to add one 10ml nicotine shot to the bottle. This would make 60ml of 3 mg/ml e-liquid.
Shortfills are ideal if you do not need a high nicotine strength and want to be able to carry plenty of e-liquid with you without having to bring multiple little bottles.
It is important to bear in mind that shortfills are designed to accommodate enough nicotine shots to produce a 3 mg/ml e-liquid, so if you need a stronger nicotine strength, shortfills may not be the right option for you.
How do you use shortfills?
Shortfills are sold with a nicotine free formula but leaving room to allow the addition of nicotine if needed. If you prefer a nicotine free e-liquid, then shortfills can be used in the same way you would use any other e-liquid. However, if you prefer to use a nicotine containing e-liquid, you will need to purchase nicotine shots to put in your shortfills.
Each shortfill leaves room to add enough nicotine shots to produce a 3 mg/ml e-liquid. For example, a 50ml shortfill will come in a 60ml bottle with room for one nicotine shot and a 100ml shortfill will come in a 120ml bottle leaving room for two nicotine shots.
They are easy to mix, simply pop the nozzle off the e-liquid bottle and off the nicotine shot bottle and empty the contents of the nicotine shot into the e-liquid bottle. Once this is done put the nozzle and lid back on to the e-liquid bottle and shake well to combine the nicotine and e-liquid together. It can then be used straight away in the same way that you would use any other e-liquid.
If you are unsure about how to use your shortfill speak to a member of our team either in store or online.
Can I put nicotine in a shortfill?
Yes, shortfills are designed to accommodate the addition of nicotine. They can of course be used as they are sold, if you prefer a nicotine free vape, but if you require nicotine you can add nicotine shots to the bottle.
Shortfills are called this because the e-liquid is filled short of the top of the bottle to leave room for a nic shot if needed. If you purchase a 50ml shortfill, this will contain 50ml of 0mg e-liquid in a 60ml bottle, you can then add one 10ml nicotine shot and shake to produce 60ml of 3 mg/ml e-liquid.
Are all shortfill e-liquids high VG?
Not all shortfills have a high VG e-liquid formula, however, most shortfills do. Shortfills are designed to accommodate the addition of enough nicotine shots to produce a 3 mg/ml e-liquid, whereas many people who use a 50/50 or high PG e-liquid are newer vapers who require a higher nicotine strength.
UK law dictates that nicotine containing e-liquids cannot be sold in bottles larger than 10ml and so most 50/50 and high PG e-liquids are sold in 10ml bottles to allow a wide range of nicotine strengths. This allows the user to choose the correct strength to satisfy their nicotine cravings and the best chance at a successful stop smoking attempt.
