2 for £25 100ml short fills FAQs
What are short fills?
Short fills describe bottles of e-liquid which are larger than 10 ml, and they are so called because they are filled short of the top of the bottle to allow room for the addition of nicotine if needed.
This is because, in the UK, nicotine containing e-liquids cannot be sold in bottles larger than 10 ml, and so short fill e-liquids are sold with a nicotine free formula. Space is left to add enough nicotine shots to create a 3 mg/ml e-liquid, for example, a 50 ml short fill requires one 18 mg/ml 10 ml nicotine shot, and a 100 ml short fill requires two 18 mg/ml 10 ml nicotine shots.
What does high VG mean?
High VG describes the ratio of vegetable glycerine and propylene glycol in the e-liquid, which dictates the consistency it has.
Vegetable glycerine (VG) and propylene glycol (PG) are the base of all e-liquids. Having a high ratio of VG makes for a thick consistency e-liquid that is best suited to sub-ohm and advanced vape kits.
What are nicotine shots?
Nicotine shots are used to add a nicotine content to short fill e-liquids. In line with UK law, any bottles of e-liquid larger than 10 ml cannot contain e-liquid at the point of sale, and so these bottles are sold as short fill bottles. Short fills leave room to add enough nicotine shots to create a 3 mg/ml e-liquid, for example, a 50 ml short fill has room for one 10 ml nicotine shot, and a 100 ml short fill has room for two 10 ml nicotine shots.
Nicotine shots are usually unflavoured, with a VG/PG base and an 18 mg/ml nicotine strength. They can however be purchased with a slight flavour, such as a cool or fizzy finish, to impart a flavour finish to the e-liquid they are added to. They can also be purchased in different ratios of VG and PG to match that of the e-liquid they are added to.
How do I use nicotine shots?
It’s really easy and quick to add nicotine shots to your short fill, but first make sure you have the right amount of nicotine shots for your bottle size. Short fills leave room to add enough nicotine shots to create a 3 mg/ml strength, for example, a 50 ml short fill needs one 10 ml nicotine shot, and 100 ml short fill needs two 10 ml nicotine shots.
Remove the cap and nozzle from both the short fill and the nicotine shot/s and pour the contents of the nicotine shot/s directly into the short fill bottle. Replace the nozzle and cap on your short fill, make sure they are on correctly and screwed tight or things could get a little messy! Finally, give the short fill a good shake to mix the nicotine evenly throughout the bottle. Your short fill is now ready to use straight away!
