Whether you are new to vaping or have been a vaper for years, it is always important to ensure you are vaping safely.
Ensuring you are using your e-cigarette correctly and making the best choices is vital for both your personal safety and keeping your device in the best condition and fit for use.
1. Use the Charger that Came with the Device
When charging your device, it is always best to use the charger that it came with, where possible.
This cable has been designed specifically to suit the device and to provide the correct amount of power without providing too many amps. This will help prolong the life of the battery and prevent over charging or short circuiting.
2. Choose Quality Assured Items
Buying your device, batteries and e-liquids from reputable retailers that source their products from quality manufacturers certifies that you are buying superior items that have undergone the appropriate product testing and quality checks.
3. Look After Your E-Liquids
If used improperly nicotine can be a harmful substance and therefore, needs to be kept in appropriate conditions.
All e liquids brought from reputable vaping retailers should come in a bottle with a child safety cap similar to those on medicine bottles, this means it cannot be opened by simply twisting, some pressure must also be applied.
If you decide to decant your e-liquid into a different bottle, we advise you use one that is designed for holding e-liquids and has this same style of cap.
If you e-liquid contains nicotine and you spill some on your skin or clothes it is advised that you wash the affect area immediately to avoid the nicotine being absorbed into your skin.
4. Don't Burn A Dry Coil
If you have not yet put any juice in your tank, or your tank is now empty, do not fire the device. Burning a dry coil could cause the cotton to be irreparably burnt and could mean having to change the coil more often. If you inhale on a dry coil it can be quite unpleasant, as the ‘dry hit’ can cause you to cough and could leave you with a sore throat.
5. Stay Hydrated
Vaping for long periods can leaving your body a little dehydrated, so don’t forget to drink plenty of water. This is especially the case when you know you will be vaping more often than usual, for example if you attend a vaping convention.
