Uwell Caliburn G2
The Caliburn G2 is the latest addition to the Caliburn family, and it comes with some fancy new upgrades that help you tailor your vaping experience to specifically suit your personal style.
The device has a 750 mAh built-in battery and unlike other Caliburn devices, the G2 has fully adjustable airflow through a unique dial at the base of the pod. This means that you can choose exactly how loose or tight you would like your draw to be, simply by removing the pod and turning the small red dial on the base.
The G2 maintains the small and compact style that the Caliburn range is known for, with a sleek and lightweight aluminium body that is available in three different colour variations. They have also added a full e-liquid viewing window which means you can always see exactly how much e-liquid is left in your pod.
The 2 ml refillable pods have a comfortable duck-bill mouthpiece, which can be removed to refill the pod when needed. It clicks securely in place so you can easily store it in your pocket or bag without worrying about the pod going walkabouts. The coils in the Caliburn G2 are changeable and offer two different coil options in the box so you can give them both a try and find which one best suits you.
By using the coils in combination with the adjustable airflow and 18 w output, the G2 can be used for both MTL (mouth-to-lung) and DTL (direct-to-lung) vaping. If you prefer a MTL vaping style you will probably prefer the 1.2 ohm coil and can close off the airflow a bit to make the draw tighter. For a restricted DTL draw, try the 0.8 ohm coil with the airflow open nice and wide.
A new feature which is exclusive to the Caliburn G2 is the addition of haptic feedback, which lets the device communicate with you through vibrations. When something has changed on the device it will let you know, for example, when you remove or insert the pod, when it is on charge, and if the device cannot sense a coil.

The Caliburn G offers changeable coils and comes with two 0.8 ohm mesh coils in the box, which offer fantastic flavour payoff and longevity, and have a push fit design that makes them really quick and easy to insert. I really love that they have chosen a mesh coil, which utilises a metal mesh rather than a wire. This allows for a more even distribution of heat so the coils last longer and offer a really dense and flavourful vapor.

The Caliburn is well loved in the vaping community and was the first member of the Uwell Caliburn family. It packs a surprising punch considering its size, with a 520 mAh built-in battery and an 11 w power output.
Although the original Caliburn does not offer adjustable airflow, it has been designed to offer an extremely pleasant draw which feels comfortable and familiar to those who have previously smoked, as it replicates the feel of a cigarette. This is ideal as the Caliburn is aimed at new vapers who are making the switch from smoking to vaping.
It has a flattened, pen style design and is extremely compact and lightweight, making it super travel-friendly and the ideal size for on-the-go use.
The Caliburn utilises refillable pods which can be paired with your favourite 50/50 or high PG e-liquid, and they have a magnetic design that holds the pod securely within the device for extra peace of mind.
The original Caliburn does not have changeable coils, so when the coil starts to burn out you will need to replace the whole pod. I found the pods offered great longevity, and the flavour and vapor production remained fantastic until the end. For many new vapers this is a lot more accessible than changeable coils, as it allows you to replace the pod with just a click.
When vaping you can choose between button activation or draw activation. Draw activation is when you inhale through the mouthpiece to make the device fire, which will feel a lot more familiar to newer vapers as it replicates the way in which you would smoke a cigarette. But it still offers button activation if this is your preference and having both options is not something we often see in other pod kits.
