The Aspire PockeX is one of the most popular starter vape kits available on the market, and for good reason!
In this post I’ll be reviewing Aspire's PockeX and finding out how this device came to be so popular among new vapers.
Inside The Box
When you open the box, you’ll find your new PockeX device in your chosen colour style, I went with the beautiful rose gold finish, along with a micro USB cable for charging, a user manual and warranty details, and a spare replacement coil; everything you need to get your device set up and ready to use.
How It Works
The PockeX is an AIO (all in one) device, meaning the tank is built in to the battery, this means that the tank cannot be changed for an alternative one, but it also means that the device is designed so all parts work in perfect harmony. This is definitely evident when you use the PockeX, the 1500mAh battery sends the perfect amount of power to the coil for a smooth and satisfying draw.
I found the user-friendly coil placement was a very welcome bonus, the coil screws in to the top of the tank, beneath the drip tip, meaning that when it comes to changing your coil you do not need to have an empty tank or worry about losing some of your e-liquid during the change. This made changing the coil easy to do at my desk, on the go and in a rush.
The coils are also of a sufficient size to handle both 50/50 e-liquids such as Ohm Brew's Balanced Blends and high VG e-liquids, such as Ohm Brew's Shortfill range which leaves the use with a huge amount of choice for e-liquids.
The airflow setting is designed to be cigarette alike, replicating the feel of a pre-made cigarette. This is one of the reasons this device is so popular with new vapers, it easily replicates the feel and output of a cigarette and feels familiar and comfortable to an ex-smoker. I combined the PockeX with a mid-strength 50/50 nic salt e-liquid which resulted in a smooth all day vape experience with a satisfying hit and robust flavour output.
Charging is easy with the micro USB cable, I plugged mine into my laptop computer whilst working. The placement of the charging port is ideal as it means the device can remain upright whilst charging, avoiding the need for the device to lay on its side for extended periods of time and avoiding the risk of possible leakage. The light around the fire button gives an indicator of the remaining battery life, making it easy to know when to consider putting your device on charge.
Overall, I found the Aspire PockeX to be an effective and sustaining alternative to smoking and would consider the device to be an ideal alternative for new vapers looking for a stop smoking aid. The flavour and vapour production make for an enjoyable vaping experience, and the design of the device makes it both sleek and sophisticated, and customer focused.
