If, for one reason or another, you are no longer content with your e-cigarette it may be time to consider an upgrade. In this post we will be identifying some scenarios that may indicate an upgrade is necessary, and what type of devices may help.

If Your Device is Getting Old

If you have had your device for a little while you may be finding the battery life is not what it used to be. Just like other tech devices, over time and with continued use the lithium ion batteries inside our vape devices will begin to hold less charge.

Where you used to get two days use from a charge you may find after a year or, so you need to charge your device much more regularly. This is completely normal, as the batteries inside have an average life of a year to two years, but it may become inconvenient to have to charge your device more regularly.

At this point you may want to consider getting a new device, and if you would like to upgrade your device to one that has a better battery life you could find a device with external batteries is a good option. We recommend charging your external batteries through a battery bay charger. This gives you the option to keep a spare set of charged batteries with you and swap them out when needed, rather than having to wait for your battery to charge.

If the batteries start to degrade or become damaged,  you can replace them without having to replace your whole device.

If Your Device No Longer Meets Your Needs

If you are using a starter kit style device and find it is no longer satisfying you it may be time to consider getting a more powerful device.

You may find that you are longing for more vapour production or a higher wattage than your device is able to give, upgrading to a more powerful mod paired with a sub-ohm tank may help you feel more content.

A device that offers variable wattage options will allow you to turn the wattage output of the device up and down to suit your needs, many intermediate devices are variable wattage and so making the step from a starter kit to an intermediate kit may be beneficial.

Moving to a sub-ohm tank will give more vapour production and will usually offer changeable airflow so you can adjust the draw to better suit your personal preferences.
