Each short fill contains 100 ml of nicotine free e-liquid in a 120 ml bottle, leaving room for the addition of two 10 ml nicotine shots (sold separately) to create 120 ml of 3 mg/ml e-liquid, or can be used alone if you prefer a nicotine free vape.

What are short fills?
Short fills describe bottles of e-liquid that are larger than 10 ml, containing a nicotine free formula but leaving room for the addition of nicotine shots if the users needs a nicotine containing e-liquid.
The bottles have enough remaining room to add as many nicotine shots as are needed to create a 3 mg/ml e-liquid overall. If needed this can be pushed to a 6 mg/ml by decanting some of the e-liquid and adding additional nic shots, but it is not recommended to go any higher than this as it will significantly dilute the flavour of the e-liquid.
How many nic should I add to a 100 ml short fill?
100 ml short fills contain 100 ml of e-liquid in a 120 ml bottle, leaving room for the addition of two nicotine shots to create 120 ml of 3 mg/ml e-liquid.
If you prefer a lower nicotine strength you could add just one nic shot, which would produce a 1.5 mg/ml strength, or if you prefer a slightly higher strength you could decant some of the e-liquid and add one or two additional nicotine shots to create a 4.5 mg/ml or 6 mg/ml nicotine strength respectively.
Short fills are designed to be mixed with enough nicotine shots to create a 3 mg/ml overall strength, and if you wish to add more nicotine it is important to bear in mind that this will dilute the overall flavour of the e-liquid.
What are nic shots?
Nicotine shots, commonly referred to as nic shots, are a way to add a nicotine content to short fill e-liquids which are sold with a nicotine free formula.
Nic shots are available in multiple different options, such as freebase or nic salts, different VG/PG ratios, and even with a cool or fizzy finish to enhance the flavour of the e-liquid they are added to.
Why do short fills have no nicotine?
According to UK law, e-liquids containing nicotine cannot be sold in bottles larger than 10 ml. Short fills allow you to buy e-liquid in larger bottles, but are sold without nicotine in line with the law.
However, they are called short fills because they are filled short of the top of the bottle to allow room for the addition of nicotine shots if the user needs an e-liquid with a nicotine content. Nicotine shots are sold separately, but are a handy way to add nicotine to your e-liquids and also allow you the ability to add the exact amount needed to produce your desired strength.
