4 for £12 nic salts FAQs

What are nicotine salts?

Nicotine salts are a form of nicotine that uses an alternative extraction method to freebase nicotine.

Nic salt e-liquids are characterised by the smooth feel of their inhale and fast nicotine absorption, which satisfies nicotine cravings quickly.

These types of e-liquids are ideal for those who do not like an e-liquid with a ‘throat hit’ or who are often on-the-go and only have time for short vaping breaks.

How do I know the right nicotine strength for me?

When choosing a nicotine strength you want to choose one that corresponds with your previous smoking habits. In order to best manage your nicotine cravings, and have the best chance at a successful quit, you want to choose the one that is closest to how much nicotine your body is used to.

For example, heavy smokers will likely need a high nicotine strength like an 18 or 20 mg/ml, whereas infrequent and casual smokers who only smoke a few cigarettes a day or do not smoke daily will need a lower strength like a 3 mg/ml, or even no nicotine at all.

Our guide post ‘Which strength e-liquid should I choose?’ has lots of pointers to help you find the perfect strength to match your needs.

Which e-liquid ratio is best for my device?

Different type of vape kits are best suited to different ratios of e-liquid. This is because the ratio of VG/PG can change the consistency of the e-liquid, and you need to select the consistency that will keep your coil saturated without it drying out or becoming over saturated.

If you are using a starter kit or pod system you should consider 50/50 or high PG e-liquids, as these have a thin consistency that is easy for small coils to absorb.

However, if your device is an advanced or sub-ohm kit, it will likely be better suited to the thicker consistency of a high VG e-liquid.

Which e-liquid flavours are most popular?

Menthol and fruit tend to be the most popular flavour profiles when it comes to e-liquid, but which flavours will work for you is entirely down to personal preference.

A good place to start when choosing a new e-liquid flavour is with flavours you know you like, such as your favourite fruit. It is also a good idea to find a few different flavours you love and rotate them to keep things interesting!
