JUUL has taken the UK vaping market by storm since its release in July this year.

The compact and discreet size, combined with the satisfying hit of the nic salt pods have proved to be a hit with us Brits, although we are yet to see if ‘JUULing’ will be as popular here as it is in the states!

Who Are JUUL?

JUUL Labs are a sister company of PAX Labs, and the creator of the hugely successful JUUL e-cigarette.

In its homeland America, JUUL sales make up 70% of all e-cigarette sales, so it is safe to say it has been pretty popular!

JUUL have unfortunately come under fire for the fact that their device has become the e-cigarette of choice for many underage vapers, however, they have decided to tackle the issue head on with campaigning, donations and researching new ways to make sure their device is only used by its intended audience.

Bluetooth Enable Vaping

Having made the move over to the UK, JUUL are now working Bluetooth features that could not only increase the user’s ability to personalise and control their own vaping experience, but also to ensure that it is that much harder for teenagers to use the device.

Some of the features which may be included in the planned Bluetooth enabled JUUL device are the ability to link it with a computer or smart device, possibly with the use of an app, and control the power output, strength and even flavour density of the device and JUUL pods.

There is also talk of a lock that requires the user to enter a PIN or biometric identifier before the device can be used, and even the possibility of introducing geofences that would prevent JUULs being used on school grounds.

These plans were first uncovered when JUUL submitted a patent outlining some of the ideas for the new device, and it is said that they expect to have made some progress by the beginning of next year.

The new device has been confirmed as being specifically for use in the countries where JUUL is newly available, like the UK and Israel, before FDA approval for US sales would be sort.

If you think that the JUUL may be the right device to help you make the switch from smoking to vaping, why not pop in to your local Evapo store and speak to a member of staff. Alternatively, you can buy JUUL online at evapo.co.uk.
